New painting by David Bottini "for Gabriel"

The hot and humid weather has made it easy to remain in my studio working.
I have a new painting underway from a trip two weeks ago to Ladew Gardens (highly recommend the place - easy to get to and always a joy with acres of gardens {and the rough edges that I love} - Harford Cnty, MD)

Decided to kick into gear and work on a painting that has been underway for several weeks - the brilliant autumn colors and cool breezes it evokes made it a good choice the past few days.

Almost completed ... liking the energy of the repeating curves and the play of a yellow - orange analogous palette in contrast to the rhythmic tree trunks.
Back to my newest summer painting after I complete this painting (from numerous sketches and reference photos taken over the past few autumns in Bellevue Park)
Park Side, Early November, 24 X 24", acrylic on canvas, 2011
(just added a picture of completed painting - in frame - Friday 6-10)
