Sleeping Beauty Child's Portrait in Watercolor by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Sleeping Beauty

original watercolor / child's portrait

Sophie and I

well, we wonder a lot

is Annabelle growing

by dashes and dots?

is she dozing and napping

and dreaming grand thoughts

as she nurses all cozy

in those blankies she got

does she gaze at the sun-

dappled nursery so full

of those treasures dad and mom

fondly filled with their love

oh, we think of her often

that cute turned-up nose

those eyes, baby blue

her elegant fingers

and ten tiny toes

Savannah Annabelle

we surely can tell

you are treasured and loved

especially well.......

Beautiful, Bertie--what a wonderful closeness you have with Sophie and now Savannah and how lucky are you to be able to express this love both visually and poetically.

I was wondering...do you take pictures and then work in your studio or are you able to actually work right in front of her as she sleeps. The paintings and the poetry are such a treasure.
