Struttin' Your Stuff
16" x 20"
Mixed Media
This painting was done using gel medium to build up texture and then using ink and acrylic paints to get the bold colors. It will be 1 of 26 paintings that I will be exhibiting at the Charley Krone Gallery on the 2nd floor of the New Cumberland Library, 1 Benjamin Plaza, New Cumberland, Pa. during the month of July. I thought it would be nice to gather paintings of "Animals, Birds, & Butterflies" and exhibit them as theme, whether the animal, bird, or butterfly be the main subject of the painting or part of the painting. If in the area stop by to visit. If you can't make it, stay tuned for more posts of paintings that I have in the exhibit. If you have any questions, or wish to purchase, contact Pat at patsfineart@hotmail.com. If you wish to see more of my works, both representational and abstract, visit by blogspot or website at:

Hi Pat - Charlie Krone Gallery is such a great place to exhibit.
This painting is one of my favorites. See you tonight!
What an exquisite coat of feathers this fellow wears! Well done, Pat!!
Pat--Roosters are a great subject for artists--their shapes, colors, lines, and textures. Your rooster looks lively and ready to crow.
I would love to see the textures in person. Great technique... and theme. Good luck with the show.
I love this, Pat. This little guys has wonderful rooster attitude!
Thanks everyone. I just realized, Maria, that this photo doesn't show the texture at all. This rooster, with the attitude, was inspired by Katie's rooster from Stoney Creek Irises.
This guy reminds me of a very self-impressed conductor.....but I bet that rooster has more talent....(Don't tell).....
Besides filling the canvas in a very artful way, this bird is Patriotic!
