Annette's Iris by Susan Gray

I began this Iris watercolor plein air from Annette Braught’s garden. There are also some accents of watercolor pencil.

I was enamored of the Iris bud’s tightly furled purple petals exposing delicate greens and lavenders of the still-developing flower. It is framed in an antique gold color with a gold-lipped oyster mat measuring 12x9 inches.

The painting’s approximate dimension is 8x5 inches.

It can be presently seen on exhibit at The 2nd Floor Gallery in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Truly stunning and not your everyday painting of the iris!
