Happy Garden by Rodrica Tilley

This is the painting I almost completed at the Thursday night demo I did in front of a local arts group, Hill Country Artists. The garden is a rather bright corner of my studio garden here in Susquehanna County. The daylight was fading, but lingering on this scene. It is 11 x 14 toned Wallis paper and I used a mixture of soft pastels. The final touches in the studio pulled it together, I think. What do you think?

Beautiful colors and composition--"happy garden" is a perfect title for this work.

Edges softened and just enough background to show depth and complete the composition. Nice detail and color to draw your eye to the center of interest.
