"Fife Music" Colored Pencil by Charlotte Yealey

One year during the apple harvest festival, I came across this guy sitting on a bench playing a fife so I took a picture of him. He was not in full uniform but he looked very patriotic. I replaced the crowed behind him with an American flag and thought this was a good one for the patriotic art show at Gallery 13. Stop in to see him.

Charlotte - I am sorry I won't be there tomorrow evening for the reception as I would love to see this in person. This is beautifully done!

And the piper played
America's song that day
While the flag stood guard
Over a battlefield once scarred...
