"Waterway with Lilies" by Tatiana Myers

"Waterway with Lilies" by Tatiana Myers
12 x 12". Pastel on Ampersand Pastel Board.

My latest painting of Wildwood park, Harrisburg, PA. Finally I got really lucky and managed to catch those lilies in full bloom! It was a real treat, what makes me very proud and happy. I literally had to hung on the fence with my camera to get a reference shots I wanted... Out of this world beautiful. I did this work in 12x12", but seriously thinking about painting it bigger sometime.

That brown shallow water keeps drawing my eyes. I painted a piece a few months back that had water just like that and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get that effect. Beautiful work, Tatiana!

Thank You!
Wildwood park is the one of my very favorite places for sure (and has all that delicious wild cherries around too!) For some reason I didn't pay much attention to that particular area of park before... till this spring. And what a discovery! I'm glad you all like this place... and this painting too! :-)
