Small Portraits again, Maria Kovalenko Leysens

An 8x10 inch acrylic painting I did from a photograph that is about 100 years old.
I liked using a limited palette, warm and cool grays.

I'm so psyched to see this great painting! I've considered working form old photos (thanks to my mom's family, I've got boxes of them), but I never was sure it would work for me. You must have come up with your own colors; you did a good job with the look of authenticity. I like your style.

I love these portrait/figures you do, Maria. It almost makes me want to pull out my old photos. You could run a "challenge" on this subject material. LOL
