Oil Pastel challenge invitation.

"Iris Garden" WIP by Tatiana Myers
11 x 14". Pastel on Ampersand Museum Pastelboard.
I wasn't posting a lot lately, simply too busy with too many things.
One of my latest art related news - during this month of April I'll be running an Oil Pastel challenge for participating artists on http://www.wetcanvas.com/.
Artists will have several choices of subject they want to work with and whole month (or lesser) to accomplish the painting. Everybody is welcome to try their skills with Oil Pastel. Trust me - it is a lot of fun! Oil Pastel channel has all sort of tips for beginners, many WIPs to watch and learn what others do with their paintings... So stop by and take a look!

I don't work with oil pastels, but I will be checking out the WC forum. Nice to see you back up here, Tatiana!

I will also watch the challenge Tatiana. I really enjoyed your demonstration at Gallerie 13 last week.

I did receive some pastels in the mail from my art course, Tatiana. Not sure if they are oil pastels, however. If they are, I'll try to give this a whirl! And that iris painting of your's? Magnifico!!

Thank You, Claire!

I discovered Oil pastels about a year ago. I totally love it and enjoy working with it.

Thank You, Mary Beth!

It was so good to see you both, ladies in Gallerie 13 this evening. I think I'll be back there to paint some other day when I'll have more of free time, more likely with different painting. I need to finish this one sooner then that.

Thank You, Autumn!
If you want to try OPs, get a set of Cray Pass Expressionist. They are not expensive, but pretty good. My personal favorite brand is Holbein. Yes, this is my latest painting I'm working with right now and this one is mostly done in Holbein and somewhat I used Sennelier too.
