OFF SEASON By Cecelia Lyden

Well, here I am again at the beach--the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. I'm taking an Easter break and decided to blog an older piece. I painted this when we had a place near the beach a couple of years ago. It was pre-season and the boardwalk and beach were practically empty. It was sunny with a cool breeze blowing. I seem to have an affinity for grasses blowing in the wind and quiet settings.

Count me in for that affinity! A beautiful mood piece, one perfect for the lazy days of summer that will soon be upon us.

My favorite time to be at the beach - when there are no crowds! Beautiful painting, Cecelia. It was SO nice to meet you in person last evening - now I have a face to go with the name.

Ahhh, a place I am so familiar with...with my first glance, I knew this had to be Rehoboth!

What a perfectly wonderful setting. I love all the colors in the walk. Thanks for the reminder of the beach!
