"Dish of Cherries" By Debra Tritt- Kreiger

"Dish of Cherries" 10"x7" Watercolor on 140lb Arches Paper

This painting was done from a still life set up. I used very soft pastel color reflections on the white cloth in the background to make everything come together. If you look real close there are really dark cherries and some a little lighter in color giving it interest. And they also taste good!

The colors on the really dark cherries are wonderful! The light background is a nice contrast.

Lovely color on those cherries! Nice surfact texture, too.

Those cherries look ready to eat and are great against the simple background!

I also love the color and the shine of the cherries. Very realistic.

Beautiful painting. It's always a little bonus when you can eat the still life.

"Life is" definitely "a bowl of cherries". Your pastel tells me so.
