"Cape May 2" is an unframed painting a day pastel on a 4 ply antique white museum board panel with an approximate image size of 4" x 6". This is the 2nd of 4 studies for a large painting of the Cape May Light House. My studies, mostly completed plein air, help me form the color ideas and composition of my larger paintings. This study was done from a plein air pencil sketch while viewing the scene from the Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge.

Naturally, I adore Cape May. So glad to see it represented; I like what looks like pink sand over there. Very pretty!
You really captured the "essence" of Cape May. Anyone that has been there will notice the scene.
