"Branching Out" by Debra Tritt-Kreiger

"Branching Out" 10"x14" Watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

I love watching birds. We visited the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve in Maryland where I was thrilled to take a lot of reference photos for this and other paintings. The macaws were very beautiful and willing to pose very nicely and the sun light was just perfect.

This is outstanding, Deb. The brilliant colors of the birds is set off so well by the muted background colors. I love the sense of movement too. Good stuff!!!

Wonderful colors Deb. The red one looks as if he's saying "hey, check me out!". Beautiful.

Stunning as usual Deb. We went to Catoctin with the kids last year to show them Camp David...well we drove by the gate that is. We went hiking and exploring the beautiful waterfalls.
