Hydrangeas, along with grasses blowing in the wind and seashore settings, are another favorite subject of mine. This is one of the few paintings that I have done in oils. We have a few hydrangea bushes growing in our yard and the leaves are starting to sprout. No doubt I will be painting more when they start to bloom this summer.

This is wonderful, Cecelia! I am rather partial to blue flowers, and so this is especially pleasing to my eye.

A beautiful icy blue bloom! I find myself wondering at the additional colors that will come in as these move forward through the season!
