Wow, this painting reminds me of photos I've taken. I really like the big sky as two/thirds of the composition, with all the detail packed in below.

I love those wide expanse scenes--I have some of those type of shots I took on our trip to northern Arizona. I've been reluctant to paint one of the scenes I really like, because I wasn't sure I could make the "empty" space interesting enough. You have inspired me to give it a try.
