"Mule Horses" Watercolor 14"x10" on Arches 140lb paper
I love to cruise the back roads of Pa. You just never know what you'll come across. It was a crisp cool morning and the sun was shinning warmly on these fellows as they came out of their barn. The ground shows a hint of what winter has left, but assures us spring is on the way. The rich warm color of these beautiful horses in the sunlight was a treat to see and paint.

Reminds me of my Grandpa's mule, Topsy....a meany beany one, but he got the hard work done!

I also love to cruise the back roads of PA. You can find some very interesting models for painting. These guys look like they were wondering if you were there with the feed.
