10-5/16 x 14"
Watercolor by Linda Young
After painting the first one of the Mt Gretna Canoes in a miniature with an under painting, I decided I would do this one without the under painting and in a larger size. I've added the dead stump in the lower corner and tree to the right. Basically, the canoes are in the same position with more detail in the foreground.
This will be in the exhibit at Carlisle Arts Learning Center beginning May 7th along with the exhibit of Steve VanVoorhees, ceramicist.

Look at those sun dappled boats and beautiful little lake beyond! Gorgeous, Linda!
I love your canoe paintings! This is another beauty. What a great subject.
Linda, I love the play of light and shadow on the canoes - you took something ordinary and have made it quite extraordinary!
This really does feel like a day at Gretna...ahhhhhh!
The shadows are so interesting ... what a warm, inviting grouping!
I loved the first one you posted, but this painting is so beautiful.
Ah, Yes, summer! Nice drawing and shadows. Good over all painting.
