"Lunch Time" by Debra Tritt-Kreiger

"Lunch Time" Watercolor 7"x10" on Arches 140 lb paper

I just finished this painting this week. We have rhododendron bushes by our house which is a perfect setting for researching the magic of spring.

This just put a much-needed bright spot in my week! This is adorable, Deb. We plant so that birds will nest as well, and it is so incredible to watch the whole hatching process.

Feed me, feed me
A babe in his nest did cry
While mama worked hard
A wriggly brown worm to spy
Amazing what's a treat
To the creatures that we meet
While this season of new life
We eagerly greet!
Bravo to you for this elegant little painting!

Such a nice tight comforting composition--just like a mother's hug.
