AFTERNOON
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Afternoon'
Oil 5 x 7

This was one of my very first 'small' paintings, and
it started a whole new interest in creating smaller works
of art, and daily paintings.

If you would like to see more of my work, please
check out my website, or my blog. Thank you.

Wow Claire! This is just so beautiful. There is such a great depth to those trees. I can almost feel myself sitting beneath and listening to the wind sough through the leaves...Bliss!

A wow from me, too--you captured the essence of that clump of trees in the foreground-the background trees, overall composition and pallete are great, also.

This is dreamy, Claire. It reminds me of a paiting that hung in my parents' bedroom when I was very small; even the pink in the sky. I've always kept my eyes open for something like it. (There was a lone cow in that old painting somewhere; think it could be behind the foliage in yours?) Thanks for this lovely reason to reminisce!
