I think I have one of these in my goldfish pond. This summer I was fishing with my grandson and we caught a sunny and put him in a bucket of water to take him home so my daughter could see what Dylan caught. When it was time to take him back to the lake, Dylan got upset so we put him in our gold fish pond.

What a handsome fish, Thom. I don't think my boys have ever caught a fish that pretty! Of course by the time I see them,, they're kinda' dead....

These are the fish we used to catch as a kid. I just love the color. I never knew they were called pumpkin seed. Nice painting.

I got so busy that I fell behind in commenting here on the blog, but I HAD to come back to this Thom. I love the shape of the fish, and remember my older brothers coming home from their fishing expeditions with these. This is so colorful and beautifully modeled - love it!
