Rhythm & Blues (Series)

Rhythm & Blues

Shells found on the beach

A bottle once buried in sand

Fabric patterns, colors, and folds

Form rhythms the objects now hold

All conjure up an image

Of sea upon dry land...BB’10

Welcome to DPP, Bertie. The translucency you get in your paintings are amazinag. I also love the poetry.

I like the way you incorporate a musical title into the painting. Do you think of the title before or after the painting? And the poetry is an added bonus. I love the painting. The color blue and shells are two of my favorite things

The titles usually come during the painting process and I tend to work in series.. I wrote a wonderful poem about the Favorite Things of my granddaughter and me..but I don't as yet have a painting to go with it....sometime, maybe...

The poetry is a wonderful addition to the paintings. They make them special.
