"Abstracted Wetlands"
Mixed media
24 x 30
Abstracted Wetlands is a mixed media acrylic painting done on paper. I then glued the piece to a board and framed it in a white frame...no glass or plexiglass needed. This allows the viewer to truly appreciate the texture that is in this piece. Being a plein air painter & often painting at wetlands greatly influenced the creation of this piece. I can almost see my poppies in there! Lots of interesting color that keeps my eye wandering throughout the painting.
Another gorgeous piece, Pat. I really do like your abstract pieces. That blue for the water in the bottom part of the painting is exquisite!
I love it when a piece of abstract art grabs me. I always wonder what is is inside of the painting that is calling me. This one is singing to me- loud.
I love the texture!
I love the play of complementary color, and how the deep blues and greens in the background stage the watery setting. This is wonderful, Pat.
Thank you everyone, for the wonderful comments.
