This watercolor study of an Orange-Spotted Sunfish is one of
a series of Sunfish I have done. The first 6 watercolor studies were
of Sunfish found in the Susquehanna River Watershed.
The Orange-Spotted Sunfish is more of a Southeastern Species.
You can probably see why I selected this species to paint- Beautiful Colors!

Beautiful colors indeed! Go BEARS!! Oh wait...this is Steelers or Eagle country, isn't it? LOL Anyway, love these studies you've been doing!
This is wonderful - really nice play of blues and earthy oranges. I like these studies of yours very much
Thom, this is absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've ever appreciated the beauty of a fish until I see your paintings.
