Spring Pastoral
by Claire Beadon Carnell

Spring Pastoral
Oil 6 X 8 on archival canvas
Painting available on eBay

Painted this one last evening from
photographs I had taken early this
past Spring. I was really attracted to
the contrast of the red feeder with the
green grass, and of course the cows
were watching me while I was taking
the pictures!

What warm and inviting colors. The composition keeps my eye wondering around the canvas.

I looked at your ebay link. That is really a great idea to link your auctions right to your blog. Interesting!

Claire, what a delicate, lovely little scene. The colors are very serence and peaceful. The feeder is my favorite!

Thank you, Lyn - I liked the touch of the complementary it added to all the green.

Once again, Claire, I love your handling of the greens. A great composition. I also love the red feeder.

Gorgeous painting, Claire. There is something just so timeless about your works. They also remind me of paintings of a bygone era, though I cannot quite articulate what I mean or why they strike me so...
