Congratulations regarding Art & Soul Gallery. I will stop in and see your work as soon as I can. I really love the depth and the design of this landscape.
Thank You, Mary Beth! I have to give a credit of original photo reference for this panting to my very favorite pastel artist and photographer Phil Bates: http://www.prbates.com
Several his photos were used as royalty free images for Wet Canvas landscape challenge earlier this year. I did this painting, since I loved the reference. Later on I contacted Phil and he gave me some very helpful suggestions what improved quality of my own reference photos. He spends a lot of time for getting that one "just right" shot, but it always pays back when it comes to the painting..
Congratulations, again, Tatiana, on your works being accpeted by Art & Soul. They really need to be seen by many. This painting really has me traveling from the foreground wildflowers to the background mountains. Great job.
Thank You, Pat! I particularly enjoyed working on flowers here... mostly is pastel pencils, and partially in Nu Pastel. I love this work too.
Congratulations on having your beautiful work accepted into Art & Soul Gallery, Tatiana! I will looke forward to seeing it there.
This is lovely, those wildflowers in the foreground lead you right into the painting.
Thank You, Claire! I'm happy about the fact of acceptance. It is more then I was planning for this season and it is really good to know that I am doing something right.
Tatiana--I was not aware that the Art and Soul Gallery had reopened. I used to show there when Linda and Debra ran it. Are they still the owners? PS--striking pastel--love the diagonal composition.
I am thinking spring and how much I'd love to be in this very spot, maybe with a picnic basket? Beautiful painting, Tatiana!
Cecelia, Art and Soul just had a Grand Re-opening few weeks ago and Lyn O'Neal is a new owner. I have all contact information in this post. Place is looking great and currently Lyn is working hard to make in even better for 2010.
Oh, Autumn, thank you! My sister told me, that she almost can see a resting Unicorn under those trees. Hard to imagine, that such a places still exist! Very beautiful (and no, I didn't change it too much compare to original reference).
Congratulations on having your paintings at the Art and Soul gallery. This is a really neat landscape.I love the movement. Beautiful job.
Thank You, Debra! It is nice little work, one of my very first works in pastel, but I really enjoyed painting it.
