When I was in elementary school, my
Great-Aunt Margaret's goal was to teach
me how to spell a new and difficult word
each time I visited her during summer
vacation. She always made it fun, but didn't
give up until how I learned to spell the word
she had chosen. 'Conodoguinet' (for the
Conodoguinet Creek that ran through
Camp Hill, PA) was one of the toughest to
learn, but I never forgot how to spell it after all
of these years!
I think Great-Aunt Margaret would have
liked that I painted this, and that I remembered
how to spell the name of the creek as well :)

Gorgeous Painting, Claire!
Love your story Claire - she would be sooo proud. This is just beautiful - love the clouds and the reflections.
Very lovely
Love the story and, of course, the painting.
