A little more work all around. Experimenting with a path. Not sure if I like this or not. I've thickened the trees a bit. There will be bark and more branches and leaves. Just not ready yet to go there because I've been spending more time on the background. I've added a path in the distance and refined some of the mountains. Detail provided at top.

The continuation of the path in the field is great for moving your eye deeper into the painting. Great post Michael.
I love the attention you have given to the background, its illumination and the path taking you from the dark into the light.
The path literally and figuatively leads the viewer right into this painting, and what a wonderful journey it is!
