Pink Lisianthus by Jill Foster

20" x 16" pastel on sanded Colourfix paper

My garden is filled with flowers during the summer. The double lisianthus is one of my favorites. I paint in the garden whenever possible, but sometimes weather doesn't allow this, so I photograph the flowers at their prime and then continue the painting in the studio.

I'm working with Colourfix paper and pastels, too. This is beautiful; it's so much fun to see how others use these materials!

Hi, Jill!
Good to see you here! Welcome to DDP!
I like Colourfix too, but most of the time I'm using their liquid primed an my own support...
Honestly at this time our of all sanded surfaces I still prefer Ampersand board to everything else. If you, ladies didn't try it yet, you should, it is really great board to work with.
